It remains a fundamental right only on paper. But if you read the subsequent Supreme Court judgments for the last six years, you can find that they have diluted the fundamental rights. In fact, they have gone on record and said that Article 30 is not a fundamental right. This in itself was the duty of the Commission because if you read the Statement of Objects and Reasons, it clearly says. Initially, I thought I was lucky that I gave the first audition of my life and bagged a role. I thought that since I got an acting opportunity with just one audition, this is how it is and it would be that simple and easy to find roles. But the reality was different.
